A month ago Weak Hero Class 1's producer Kim Myung-jin hinted at the return of the series. Now, the makers of the series have confirmed that the show is indeed returning with a new season with a star-studded cast.On Monday, it was announced that the series is under development with a working title Weak Hero Class 2 and it features Park Ji-hoon, Ryeoun, Choi Min-young, Yoo Su-bin, Bae Na-ra, Lee Min-jae, and Lee Jun-young.
Based on a webtoon, Weak Hero Class 1 is an action-packed school drama featuring Park Ji-hoon as Yeon Si-eun, a brilliant student who is physically weak and often bullied. However, Si-eun uses his intelligence to overcome his opponents and fight back against violence. Alongside him is Choi Hyun-wook, who plays Ahn Su-ho, a skilled fighter and Si-eun's loyal friend who can defeat his enemies in a single strike.
According to the makers, Week Hero Class 2 will follow Si-eun as he transfers to a new school, bearing the pain of failing to protect his friend from school violence. Vowing never to lose a friend again, he’s about to confront even sterner challenges.

Park Hoo-min will be portrayed by Ryeo-un, Seo Joon-tae will be played by Choi Min-yeong, and Go Hyun-tak will be portrayed by Lee Min-jae.
In addition, Yoo Su-bin will reprise his role as Choi Hyo-man, opposite Yeon Si-eun. Na Baek-jin will be portrayed by Bae Na-ra, and Geum Sung-jae will be played by Lee Jun-young.
